Slide your line right, untarget that guy, ID the Mike on the left outside corner. Every. Single. Time.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Now you can set all of that as a custom adjustment in your main menu settings.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>What they actually are:\u003C\u002Fstrong> a combination of hot routes, blocking adjustments, or both. Set up in advance and selectable right at the play call screen. Instead of playing Tetris at the line of scrimmage, you just pick the adjustment you already built.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>The more popular use. Pre-set hot routes.\u003C\u002Fstrong> Say you run the same four hot routes on a play every time. Set it up once. When you call that play, those routes are already there.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>What you need to know:\u003C\u002Fstrong> custom adjustments are mapped to depth chart placement, NOT specific players. That means:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>Wide receiver 1 gets this route\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>Wide receiver 2 gets this route\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>Wide receiver 3 gets that route\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>And so on\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\u003Cp>You need to learn WHERE that player lines up, then assign the right route to that spot.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Watch out for formation flips.\u003C\u002Fstrong> Sometimes flipping keeps players in the same spots. And I was shocked when I got my hands on the game early and played the beta.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>They took a lot of the plays I was running, and that other top players were running, plays that needed two, three, four, even five hot routes, and put them into the game stock.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>EA even admitted it in the gameplay deep dive blog: \u003Cstrong>these were community plays taken from creators and streamers.\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>What that means for you:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>Some of the best plays you can call no longer need a bunch of hot routes\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>You just call it and snap the ball\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>That's a huge difference in play design and pre-snap\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\n\u003Ch2>How do Directional Stiff Arms work in CFB 27?\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp>EA added directional stiff arms. They're calling it Coach DNA 2.0.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Here's what that means:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Hot hand recognition\u003C\u002Fstrong>, if a running back is going crazy, they'll feed him more\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Double teams\u003C\u002Fstrong>, if your elite edge rusher is dominating their tackles, they'll start double-teaming him\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Play setup\u003C\u002Fstrong>, they'll set up plays throughout the game\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Tendency adjustments\u003C\u002Fstrong>, they'll adjust run and pass tendencies based on matchups\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\u003Cp>Bottom line. We should be playing against the \u003Cstrong>smartest CPU we've seen.\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>What is Coach Mode in College Football 27?\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp>Coach Mode lets you watch the game from the sidelines. Like an actual college football coach.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>You can have as much or as little control as you want. That includes:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>Identifying the primary receiver for your quarterback\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>Making pre-snap adjustments\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>Having your mic cut off after the play call when the play clock runs down. Just like real life\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\u003Cp>Play like a real head coach, or just get a front row seat from the sideline and let your team handle everything.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Coach Chat:\u003C\u002Fstrong> up to 3 times per game, you can chat with your players. Here's why that matters. When a player gets cold, they take ratings decreases. Coach Chat brings them back to a neutral standpoint so they're ready for the next snap.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>What does Zone Window Awareness do in CFB 27?\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp>There's a brand new coaching adjustment called \u003Cstrong>Zone Window Awareness\u003C\u002Fstrong> for receivers. And it may completely change how your offense attacks zone defenses.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>You can set it either in-game or in the main menu.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>What EA says it does:\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>Your players identify the open windows in zone coverage\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>They slow down when they get into those areas\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>What that means in practice:\u003C\u002Fstrong> in past years, even if your receiver was wide open in a zone, he'd keep running. Right into a defender waiting for him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>If this works the way EA says. A drag route that hits an open window won't blow through it. He'll slow down and sit in that soft spot of the zone.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I haven't tested it yet, so I can't tell you if it's really good or really bad. But if it works.
