We want switch stick. There's no harm done by switch stick. I promise you. I've coached thousands of players — no harm is done here.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch3>The Problem with \"None\"\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\n\u003Cp>The reason we don't want it at none is because no switch stick delay is going to let us switch stick immediately at the snap.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>If you have it at none, you'll be able to switch stick instantly. This is nice, you think, but if you're ever making an adjustment at the snap, you might accidentally switch stick off the defender you want to be on because you're trying to make an adjustment with the right stick.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch3>The Problem with \"Moderate\"\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\n\u003Cp>Sometimes people want to put it at moderate. Switch stick delay is purely just delaying the amount of time after the snap that you're able to switch stick. It doesn't affect anything else.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>So moderate delay for me takes a little bit too long. If I try to switch stick immediately, I can't until about a second or so after the snap. That could be too slow.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>This is one free tip on defense. All your other switch sticks are going to be instant regardless if you're on none, slight, or moderate.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>How Do I Stop Throwing Interceptions on Deep Balls?\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>You're missing touchdowns because your pass settings aren't tuned. So let's fix that.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>Watch — if I just do a normal pass lead on it, it becomes a really tough throw and we don't catch this.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>But the EXACT same ball — I'm going to do what's called a \u003Cstrong>free form pass\u003C\u002Fstrong>. These are the best settings right here — copy these.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch3>How Free Form Passing Works\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\n\u003Cp>When you \u003Cstrong>hold Left Trigger (L2)\u003C\u002Fstrong> while passing, you get a wider range to actually pass lead.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>Right here I hold L2 — notice I get a little bit outside of the initial gray circle.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>This time I'm NOT going to hold L2. Watch — when I don't hold L2, I can't get outside of the gray circle. Actually results in an interception.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>Everything else is the same. But simply by having the correct passing settings and using that free form passing — \u003Cstrong>we go from throwing an interception to a touchdown\u003C\u002Fstrong>.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>That's going to make you win more games.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>Why Am I Getting Beat By Post Routes?\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>Ever have a post route get caught right over the middle of the field because your defense isn't aligned correctly? If this ever happened to you, keep watching.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>So we have a post route going over the middle of the field, and watch what my deep zone defender does. He's going to allow this post route to get caught right in front of his face.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>This is actually an alignment issue that we can fix inside of our coaching adjustments.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch3>How To Fix It\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Step 1:\u003C\u002Fstrong> Select the same play on offense, and on defense, click the right stick in\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>You can make this adjustment at the beginning of every game or as you see fit during the game.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Step 2:\u003C\u002Fstrong> Scroll to your safety depth and safety width\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Step 3:\u003C\u002Fstrong> Go one tick to the left on both of them — close and pinch\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>This is going to bring our safeties down into the box and get them tighter together to where they're going to defend the middle of the field a little bit better.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>This is great if you're in \u003Cstrong>Cover Two, Cover Three, or Cover Four\u003C\u002Fstrong>.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch3>The Results\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\n\u003Cp>Now watch what happens here as I try to throw the same post route in front of that player. This one has a half slide to the left, but if I audible over to \u003Cstrong>Double Cross\u003C\u002Fstrong>, you'll see this one has \u003Cstrong>empty protection\u003C\u002Fstrong>. And then if I go over to \u003Cstrong>Y Stick\u003C\u002Fstrong>, this one has \u003Cstrong>base blocking\u003C\u002Fstrong>.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>So all these are different. You don't know what all of these are.
