What Are Custom Adjustments and Why Use Them?
Custom Adjustments let you save complex defensive and offensive setups. Then call them in TWO CLICKS during games.
Instead of manually moving EVERY defender, outside corner to outside third, inside safety to inside third, other corner, you get your EXACT setup instantly.

How to Use Custom Adjustments Mid-Game
Step 1: Hold down the play icon you want. Let's say Mid Blitz
Step 2: You'll see options for three custom adjustments you already set up
Step 3: Select Blitz Cover Three
Step 4: Defense is TOTALLY set up. Every player exactly where you want them.
No manual adjustments. No wasted time. No getting caught mid-adjustment.

You can create adjustments for defense AND offense.
Creating a Defensive Custom Adjustment
Step 1: Basic Coaching Setup
- Click Create Adjustment
- Show blitz the linebacker
- Shade coverage over top, only use this in obvious passing situations
- Guess pass
- QB contain, but only RIGHT side if you're worried about rollouts right
Step 2: D-Line Setup
- Spread D-line
- Crash outside, need them attacking to the outside
- Blitz all, yes
- D-Tackle spy, keeps QB in the pocket
Step 3: Secondary Coverage
- Don't press, we're changing coverage anyway
- Cover zero shell as base
Step 4: Individual Assignments
- CB1: Outside quarter
- CB2: Outside quarter
- Slot CB: Vertical hook
- Free safety: Inside third
- Other safety: Curl flat
- Mike linebacker: Mid read

What Custom Adjustments Work Best on Offense?
Offense setups save even MORE time than defense.
You can preset:
- Double teams, specific O-line protection
- ID the mic, automatic center identification
- Untarget defenders, avoid specific coverage
- Individual receiver routes, ALL five receivers plus tight ends
Select your custom adjustment and the ENTIRE play is set exactly how you want it.
Example setup: Four Verts with Receiver 1 on a comeback, Receiver 3 on a drag, TE on a flat route. One click. All routes set.
When to Use Custom Adjustments vs Manual Adjustments
Use Custom Adjustments:
- Obvious passing downs. 3rd and 7+
- Red zone situations
- Two-minute drill defense
- Your go-to money plays
- Complex route combinations you run repeatedly
Stick with Manual:
- Situational adjustments based on formation
- Quick audibles
- One-off adjustments you won't use again

Common Custom Adjustment Mistakes
Mistake 1: Too Many Setups
Don't create 10 different custom adjustments. You'll forget what they do. Start with 2-3 MONEY setups.
Mistake 2: Bad Names
Don't name them "Defense 1" and "Defense 2." Use "Blitz Cover Three" or "Red Zone Stop." You need to know INSTANTLY what it does.
Mistake 3: Situational Overload
Don't create adjustments for every possible situation. Create them for situations you see 3+ times per game.
Mistake 4: Not Testing
Test your custom adjustments in practice mode BEFORE using them online. Make sure every player goes where you expect.
How Opponents Counter Custom Adjustments
They can't. That's the point.
Custom Adjustments aren't a strategy - they're EXECUTION. You're still calling the same plays and concepts. You're just calling them faster and cleaner.
